Payback Analysis Worksheet
In determining the amount of time (days) required to recover your cost to fit your truck with PRECISIONLOADS On-Board Scales, it is necessary to establish the degree and frequency of both overloading and underloading.
| Step 1: | Review at least 10 recent consecutive weight receipts of loads from a certified scale. Include only legal loads. Do not include overloads. Add upthese loads (Gross Weights), then calculate your average load. | EXAMPLE:

| Step 4: | Apply the above percentage to total revenue earned per trip multiplied by number of trips. | EXAMPLE:

NOTE: The cost of overloading has not been included in this calculation. To include these costs, add the total of dollars expended over the past 8 months in overweight fines and subtract from the Cost of Scale, then divide this amount by the daily revenue loss from underloading. Refer also to the PRECISIONLOADS "Load Checkweigh and Adjustment" calculation form for further payback consideration.
